There is change underway in Western New York and this writer not only loves it, I am in full support.
The MOCHA Center INC is making moves & continuing to be trailblazers for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) Communities of Color.
The MOCHA Center is a Western New York 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Buffalo and Rochester. MOCHA’s mission is to improve the health and wellness of LGBT Communities of Color. Since their inception in 1996 -then known as the Men of Color Health Awareness Project-, MOCHA has grown from specifically targeting Black and Latino gay men to now reaching people of color, youth, women, and transgender communities. Also, now providing prevention programs, support services for People Living with HIV/AIDS, advocacy, capacity building and a plethora of other programs & services.
All of the services offered are conducted in a culturally sensitive manner, which is both confidential and non-judgmental.
For more information on the MOCHA Center’s services including but not limited to their new Rapid HIV Testing and Consulting Services, please visit their website at http://www.mochacenter.org.
